October Holy Hike – Tualatin Hills Nature Park

October Holy Hike – Tualatin Hills Nature Park

We will meet at Tualatin Hills Nature Park in Beaverton. This will be approximately a two-mile walk and will include unimproved paths and some pavement. Along the way, we will say prayers, hear readings from holy scripture, and celebrate Holy Communion.

We would describe this as an easy hike, with some uneven ground. Sturdy walking or light hiking shoes are adequate. Just a reminder that Holy Hikes meets rain or shine, so dress appropriately for the weather on the day.

With our wonderful Fall weather, we hope that you will consider joining us to enjoy community with others and communion with God’s creation at this wonderful location!

Holy Hikes – Mary S. Young Park

Enjoying nature in community with fellow travelers can be a transforming and renewing experience. Here at Holy Hikes: NW Oregon, the core of our efforts is to bring people together in the midst of creation, to foster an encounter with the Sacred. We do this through local hikes in the Portland metro area which include readings from holy scripture, prayers, silence, conversation, and (if you feel so called) receiving the bread and wine of the Eucharist.

Our next hike will take place on Saturday, July 17, starting at 10:00am.

We will meet at Mary S. Young Park for a 2+ mile walk.

We would describe this as an easy + hike, with some modest elevation gains, mostly walking on dirt paths with some pavement. Sturdy walking or light hiking shoes are adequate. Just a reminder that Holy Hikes meets rain or shine, so dress appropriately for the conditions on the day.

With our improving weather and lessening COVID restrictions it is time to get out to enjoy community with others and communion with God’s creation, we hope that you will consider joining us!
