Saint Mary’s, in conjunction with the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Lane County and Lane County Public Health, is hosting a Q.P.R. (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention training. This is the first of several trainings to come. This will be an in-person training for any adult interested in learning more about supporting others during a suicidal crisis. No previous experience or training is necessary. Topics covered will include: the warning signs of a suicidal crisis, how to ask about thoughts of suicide, compassionate listening skills, and local resources for people in Lane County.
