St. Barnabas in McMinnville, Oregon is seeking a part-time (quarter time) Director of Music Ministries. The Director’s primary job will be to play the organ, piano and “wee” organ for the Sunday service. Additionally, this person will serve as Team Leader for the rest of the music ministry as well as select hymns and other worship songs for each week in collaboration with the Rector and the hymn committee. The Director will also collaborate with the Music Committee to submit and work with our music budget as well as oversee any repair and maintenance of our instruments. The Director will also engage and work with special instrumentalists that are employed.

The Director will work with our Rector to facilitate congregational participation in worship and will be available to play for funerals and weddings for an additional fee. This position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent professional experience.  A demonstrated proficiency on organ, piano and electronic keyboard is expected.
