A project that has been close to Bishop Michael’s heart is the creation of a history wall in the dining room at the Bishop’s Close. Our historiographer Richard Van Orman, found many photographs from the early days of the diocese as well as clergy and lay leaders, church buildings, hospitals, and camps. We would like to expand our collection to include more photographs of people and events from our past that would be of interest to the whole diocese. Ideas include ECW events, children at camp, including Gearhart and Triangle Lake, regional events or rallies, picnics, conventions, and other gatherings. We would really like to have photos of people involved in activities and not just line-ups of people who attended events or activities. Please also include a description of the photo and if there are identifiable persons, please include their names.
If you have a photograph that you would like us to consider for inclusion in the history wall, either use the form below to submit a photo, contact Marie Bagwell at firstname.lastname@example.org , or bring your photograph to the Historiographer’s Exhibit Table at Convention in Ashland.
