Director of Communications
J T Quanbeck
J T is the communications director for the Diocese of Oregon. A creative professional for most of his working life, he has been self-employed for the last ten years as a creative/art director. In 2006, an opportunity to become directly involved in communications ministry presented itself at St. Michael & All Angels in Portland. He joined the staff the Assistant for Communications, which eventually led to his position with the diocese. JT’s responsibilities include strategic communications, editing and publishing the diocesan newspaper, The Oregon Episcopal Church News, media relations, internal and external communications, diocesan publicity, and website development.
J T and his wife, Susan, have one daughter in college and when not working on a communications project at the office or at home, he can be found working on his home remodel.
